{image-Leander Paes_02042008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, Apr 2: Leander Paes has been named as the playing captain of a four-member Indian team against Japan in the Davis Cup Asia/Oceania Zone group I-II round tie to be played at the R K Khanna stadium from April 11.
Mahesh Bhupathi, Prakash Amritraj and Rohan Bopanna are the other players who have been included in the squad.
Meanwhile, Japanese team will be led by by Eiji Takeuchi while the other members of the squad are Kei Nishikori, Go Soeda, Takao Suzuki and Satoshi Wabuchi. Earlier, Somdev Dev Varman who is reportedly busy with his University examinations in the US, was not considered for selection.
Indian team is expected to arrive here by April 5 while the Japanese team will reach here April 6.
Paes was the non-playing captain in the last tie against Uzbekistan in February, owing to an ankle injury.
