More FSI for fishermen's colonies in offing
Mumbai, Apr 2 (UNI) Maharashtra Goverment is likely to provide more FSI to fishermen colony (Koliwada) and ''Gaothan'' across the State.
An announcement to this effect was made today in the Legislative Council by Minister of State for Urban Development Rajesh Tope.
Mr Tope told the House that the State has sent a proposal to the Centre requesting that the Central Regulatory Zone (CRZ) be amended so as to enable the State to exclude fishermen colonies from it.
Mr Tope said the State wants ''koliwadas'' and ''gaothans'' to be provided more FSI and the State has invited suggestions in this regard under Development Control Rule (I)(A)(A). Within a month's time, a decision will be taken in this regard, he said.
The issue of fishermen's colonies was raised by MLC Kapil Patil who wanted to know about the ''cluster development'' of fishermen's colonies.
