Mohammedan Club defeats Oil India 1-0

Kolhapur, Apr 2 (UNI) Mohammedan Sporting Club, Kolkata, defeated Oil India, Assam, 1-0 in the ONGC 2nd division National League Football tournament at the Chhatrapati Shahu Stadium here today.

The match was dull till the half time as both sides played a defensive game. However, in the second half S A Muritala of Mohammedan Sporting Club registered the first goal at the 66th minute, to give his team a 1-0 lead.

Mohammedan Sports Club restricted Oil India and finally won the match 1-0.

Tournament Committee today banned Osean's New Delhi heroes player Babatunde Oladele for the next two matches, on the charges of misbehaving with the match referee during the team's match against Mumbai Football Club on March 31. The Committee also imposed some restrictions on Osean's coach Chima Okroie for his allegation against the referee, Tournament Committee Chief and MLA Malojiraje said here today.
