Moscow, Apr 2 (UNI) In a weird coincidence, four namesakes are among the candidates in the fray so far to contest the election of mayor in the northwestern Russian city of Arkhangelsk.
The electoral commission of the city said yesterday the candidates named Sergei Moiseyev rose to four.
Of the four candidates who share the same first name and surname but have different middle names, one is a pensioner, another is a United Russia party member and a lawmaker at the city's municipal council, while two work as truck and bulldozer drivers, Ria Novosti reported.
The elections are set for May 25.
Early mayor elections were declared in February, when a court found former city mayor Alexander Donskoi guilty of using a fake university certificate and engaging in illegal business activities.
