New Delhi, Apr 2 (UNI) With Mother Dairy and Dhara set to be merged, the leading oil brand will be re-launched with new packaging and advertising campaigns.
''Dhara and Mother Dairy share better synergy. The products will be re-launched along with new packaging and advertising,'' Mother Dairy CEO Paul Thachil told reporters on the sidelines of a conference here.
National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has already kickstarted the process of merging the two wholly-owned subsidiary companies as part of an internal restructuring exercise.
''The reason for the move is to consolidate procurement and manufacturing functions under one legal entity for better synergies.
The arrangement resulting from the merger would help maximise core competencies in the areas of procurement, processing and marketing,'' Mr Thachil added.
About three years back, NDDB had merged Mother Dairy Foods Ltd, a company created to set up marketing joint ventures with state co-operatives, with Mother Dairy Fruit and Vegetable Ltd.
Other wholly-owned subsidiaries under NDDB include IDMC Ltd and Indian Immunologicals Ltd (IIL).
