Congress challenges Naidu to face cases
Hyderabad, Apr 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Agriculture Minister N Raghuveera Reddy today dared Leader of the Opposition N Chandrababu Naidu to face cases relating to disproportinate assets, liquor scam and Yelleru land scam, instead of getting stays from higher courts.
Responding to Mr Naidu, who announced his party would not be a party to the decision not to adopt a House resolution for a probe into MLAs' assets, he asked why Mr Naidu was afraid of facing the case relating to disproportionate assets filed by TDP Founder N T Rama Rao's wife Lakshmi Parvathi.
He also wanted to know why Mr Naidu had got a stay from a higher court into the Liquor scam case and the Yelleru land scam.
Earlier, Legislative Affairs Minister K Rosaiah denied the Opposition charge that the Government was ''enacting a drama'' by not coming forward to facilitate adoption of a House resolution for a probe into the MLAs' assets. He had not acted in any role in dramas and it was the TDP members who were part of a ''drama company'', he added.
