Dubai, Apr 2: Shimit Amin directed 'Chak De India' will be the inaugural movie at the first Indian film festival (IFF) opening in Kuwait today. Five actresses from the 'Chak De India' team are participating in the opening ceremony. The actresses, Vidya Malavade, Shilpa Shukla, Chitrashi Rawat, Arya Menon and Shubhi Mehta, will also interact with students from Indian schools.
Two other Bollywood hits, 'Veer Zaara' and 'Black', with Arabic sub-titles, will also be screened during the four-day event which is organised in partnership with the Kuwait National Cinema Company. Kuwait's Minister of Information Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, will open the festival which marks the increased level of people to people contact between the two countries in recent years.
