Barwani, MP, Apr 2 (UNI) In a unique case, courtesy a computer virus, 39 ineligible candidates got selected as class III contract teachers, despite securing less marks than that required, but were put back in the waiting list within a month after the error was detected.
''An order had been issued on February 20, appointing thirty-nine candidates as class III contract teachers. However, after some students raised objections, a probe was carried out that revealed that a wrong merit list had been prepared due to a virus in the computer software,'' Sendhwa Block Panchayat Chief Executive Officer N S Raghuvanshi told reporters here.
A lot of information was lost due to the virus placing aspirants obtaining more marks in waiting list and names of candidates securing less marks in the fourth list.
