Two militants holed up in mosque escape
Srinagar, Apr 1 (UNI) Two militants, who were holed up in a mosque in north Kashmir, managed to escape under the cover of darkness, official sources said.
There was nobody in the mosque when a search operation was conducted this morning, the sources said adding that the militants had managed to escape under the cover of darkness.
Yesterday, a police spokesman said the Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, Army and CRPF had launched a joint operation at village Papchan Bandipora, about 55 km from here, following a tip-off about the presence of militants.
He said after a brief encounter, the militants had managed to enter a nearby mosque.
