Shiv Sena, BJP stage walkout on different issues
Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) Members of Shiv Sena and BJP today staged a walkout in the Legislative Council on different issues.
This is the third time that the two parties, who are alliance partners in Maharashtra, were seen taking different stands.
Shiv Sena members raised the issue of inaction against the police officer who had ''abused'' Party MLC Parshuram Uparkar.
However, Revenue Minister Narayan Rane said he had himself checked the facts and found that the officer did not use any abusive language.
Protesting against the answer, the Shiv Sena members staged a walkout.
Later, BJP MLC Ramnath Mote demanded that the Fifth Pay Commission should be implemented for 45,000 junior college teachers, to which Minister of State for School Education Hasan Mushrif said the proposal to this effect is before the Cabinet.
Unsatisfied with the reply, the BJP members also staged a walkout.
