Rains likely in Andaman

Pune, Apr 1 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Andaman and Nicobar islands, Assam and Meghalaya.

Rains are also likely in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Aandhra Pradesh, coastal and north interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or snow have occurred a isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir. Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar islands, Assam, Meghalya, Tamil Nadu, few places in Chattisgarh, isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, south interior Karnataka and Kerala.

Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in some parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Bihar, Haryana, west Rajasthan and in remaining parts of Orissa, Jharkhand, and east Rajasthan.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan west Bengal, Sikkim, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, south Chattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka. They were below normal in remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

They were normal over the rest of the country.
