Patna, Apr 1 (UNI) The issue of soaring prices of essential commodities today rocked Bihar Assembly which plunged into noisy scenes following heated exchanges between the ruling parties and the opposition.
Soon after independent member Kishore Kumar raised the issue of hike in the prices of essentials during the zero hour, the members of the ruling alliance including that of JD(U) and BJP blamed the Centre for the price hike, which had adversely affected the life of the common people.
The members of opposition parties also shouted at the top of their voice against the state government.
Both the ruling parties and opposition indulged in the heated exchanges for quite some time during which matters remained unheard due to the uproar.
Intervening into the situation Chief Minister Nitish Kumar suggested for a special debate on the rising prices.
Later, with the consent of the members of the House, Speaker Udai Narayan Choudhry announced to hold the special debate tomorrow.
