Mumbai, Apr 1 : The third day of the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) 2008 in the showbiz capital Mumbai saw designers playing with different shades of Pastel pink colours.

Designer Narendra Kumar Ahmed bowled the audiences over at the Lakme Fashion Week with a fusion line inspired by the pink city of Jaipur.

Ahmed used a profusion of pink in his ensembles and tuned the pavilions and mazes of Jaipur's forts and houses into his prints.

The designer showcased structured jackets, trousers and dresses in taffeta, silk and lurex with a rich colour palette of peach, fuchsia, silver, wine and burgundy splashed on dresses.

"The story of this collection was about lost romance. A romance that everybody has in their lives but forget sometimes and it suddenly reappears in people's lives when they are doing something else. It is about a torrid love for 15 minutes and then you run back to your own life," said Kumar.

The entire unit of Madhur Bhandarkar's film 'Fashion' was present at the occasion just to encourage the designer, who also happens to be the designer in the film too.

"Narendra Kumar Ahmed has presented a good collection and I really liked this. He does good work and is a part of our movie 'Fashion'. Kangana Ranaut has done a good ramp walk. It was an emotional moment for me. The whole team of movie 'Fashion' is present here to encourage him," said Bollywood director Madhur Bhandarkar.

The glamour quotient was further increased with actress Kangana Ranaut sashaying down the ramp donning Narendra Kumar's creations.

Ahmed is among 57 designers showing autumn/winter collections at the five-day Lakme Fashion Week that ends on Wednesday.
