Mumbai, Apr 1 (UNI) Emaar MGF, one of India's leading real estate developers, has partnered with Marriott International Inc., a leading international hospitality company, to design, construct and equip luxury-branded JW Marriott Hotels in New Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and a 'Courtyard by Marriott' hotel in Amritsar, entailing total investments of over USD 400 million.
The hotel projects are likely to be completed by 2010-end, Mr Shravan gupta, Executive vice chairman and managingdirector of emaa MGF told newsmen here today.
As part of the agreement, Emaar MGF would be the owner and developer of the proposed hotels and Marriott International shall provide advisory and management services for the planning, design, construction and operations.
Elaborating on this partnership he said as services, travel, and tourism sectors continue to show impressive growth in India, resultant demand for more hotel rooms was on an upswing. However, there still seems to be a huge gap between demand and supply and our partnership with Marriott is an endeavor towards effectively bridging this gap.
