Officials convicted in bribery case in AP
Hyderabad, Mar 31: A special court trying ACB cases today convicted two officials -- a Bill Collector and a Junior Assistant -- in two separate bribery cases and sentenced them to six months rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 300 and Rs 250 respectively.
According to an official release here, Bill Collector P Rajasekhara Reddy, working in Nizamabad Municipality, was trapped by the ACB while accepting Rs 500 as bribe from the complainant on April 15, 2002.
The other official Y V Narasimha Rao, working in Revenue Office in Warangal, was arrested for accepting Rs 500 as bribe from the complainant on April 23, 2003.
