London, March 31 : Sir Michael Caine says that late actor Heath Ledger's chilling portrayal of the Joker was so scary that it made him forget his lines.
The 75-year-old actor, who plays Bruce Wayne's butler in Heath's last completed film 'The Dark Knight', says that the late actor turned him to mush with his portrayal of the superhero's cackling nemesis, originally played by Jack Nicholson.
"You think of Jack Nicholson in the role and can't imagine anyone topping him but Heath's just as good in another direction. He's terrifying," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.
"The first time I saw him, we were rehearsing. He comes up in the elevator to me in Batman's flat and raids the place. And I hadn't seen him, I'd never met him and he comes out screaming and it's like 'Wow'. I completely forgot my lines. Scary. It will frighten the life out of people," he added.
