Jammu, Mar 31 (UNI) Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has decided to setup a joint control room for the pilgrims to ensure better yatra management and facilitation during the ensuing summer in the holy Katra town of Reasi district, official sources here said.
This was disclosed by the Additional Chief Executive Officer, (SMVDSB) M K Dwivedi in a meeting held yesterday at Katra.
''The control room will function under the close supervision of senior officers of various departments to provide assistance to the yatris round the clock,'' Mr Dwivedi said.
However, the control room would also ensure that any complaint registered by the pilgrim visiting Katra from across the country will be taken care of and action, as warranted under rules, will be initiated within the shortest possible time with an intimation to the complainant.
''A committee to address issues of yatra management, supply of drinking water and health facilities, etc, for the base camp Katra has also been constituted,'' the CEO said.
