Five SIMI activists held in Madhya Pradesh
Indore, Mar 31: In another crackdown against the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), five more activists of the outfit were arrested from Unhel town this morning. ''This is the second big achievement for Madhya Pradesh police in one week. Those arrested include Jadil Pervez, brother of Amil Pervez, who was arrested from Indore recently,'' Inspector General of Police M P Dwivedi told the sources here.
Others arrested include Ayaz alias Atu, Akbar, Meharuddin and Isad. Objectionable materials were seized from them. Interrogation was being carried out and could possibly reveal valuable information about the network of the banned outfit in Ujjain division. Police had recently nabbed 13 SIMI activists from Indore.
