Mumbai, Mar 31 : The youngest star of Bollywood, Darsheel Safari, stole the show at the Lakme Fashion Week, as he walked the ramp for designer Neeta Lulla in Mumbai on Sunday.
Darsheel, who captured the audience's attention with his portrayal of a dyslexic child in 'Taare Zameen Par', hogged the limelight as he bowled the audiences with his innocent charm.
Looking dapper in a brown velvet suit and a white shirt, the 12-year-old, oozed confidence and poise as he walked.
Upon being asked whether anybody taught him to walk on the ramp, a smiling Darsheel promptly replied, "No, I just did what I felt like."
He gave thumbs up to Neeta's designs saying, "Yes, it is good, very good."
This time, Neeta presented a collection inspired by the immortal love.
Playing around with colours like burgundy, brown, tan, cr¨me and gold she came up with a sensuous and exotic collection. A combination of diffusion and couture, the collection stood out for its sheer brilliance.
Fabrics like georgette, lace, satin, velvet, silk, wool and organza enhanced the clothes, which were a combination of fusion and couture.
Terming her collection as magnanimous Neeta said, "The philosophy behind the clothes is immortal love. The kind of textures I've used and the kind of styling that has been done is all magnanimous, because love is all about magnanimity. Its all about giving, its all about various moods and various shades incorporated in one specific moment and one specific emotion of life."
Cocktail dresses, multi-paneled kurtas, long gowns, skirts with jackets, stoles, coats, shrugs accessorized with gloves and bandanas completed the opulent formal wear by Neeta.
The five-day long fashion extravaganza with 57 designers participating is going on at National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) and would conclude April 2.
