Chikballapur records 11 cm rain

Bangalore, Mar 31: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Chikballapur 11, Sidlaghatta 8.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Deodurg, Kudathini, Sandur 4 each, Napoklu, Chikmagalur, Periyapatna, Malavalli, Bargur, Tumkur 3 each, Jalihal, Sindhanur, Madapura, Nelamanagala, Ramagiri, Molkalmuru, Sira 2 each.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were below normal at most places being appreciably so at a many places over Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka.

Gulbarga and Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 36 Degree Celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures changed little over the State. They were below normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Belgaum AP recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 17.2 Degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening.night. Maximum and Minimum temperature likely to be around 30 and 20 Degree Celsius respectively.
