Air India phases out wide-bodied Airbus A300s
New Delhi, Mar 31 (UNI) The Airbus A300 aircraft, inducted by erstwhile Indian (now Air India) was formally phased today.
The wide-bodied aircraft was used for the first time on the domestic sectors with the introduction of Executive Class.
''The last three A300 aircraft, the workhorse of the erstwhile Indian fleet (now Air India), were phased out today,''' an Air India statement said.
Air India had for the time inducted the A300 aircraft into its fleet way back in 1976.
