RPI (A) to field candidates from all seats in MP

Bhopal, Mar 30: The Republican Party of India (Ambedkar) will field candidates from all 230 seats in the upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections with the aim of garnering six per cent votes.

Maharashtra Minister of State for Housing and Social Welfare Pritam Kumar Shegaonkar told reporters here that the party would enter the electoral fray on its own with the objective of making a mark in the state. Resolving that the party would refrain from coalition politics, Mr Shegaonkar said tickets would be provided to those who believed in social equality and justice in accordance to Baba Saheb's ideology.

He said party executive has been formed in 26 districts, while it would constitued in other places soon.

Mr Shegaonkar said the party would field 33 per cent women candidates besides people from weaker sections.
