Chennai, Mar 30 (UNI) Test captain Anil Kumble today said there were no worries of injuries to any player in the squad named for the first two Tests as they go to Ahmedabad for the Second match from April 3.
Talking to newspersons after the big scoring first Test ended in a draw at the M A Chidambaram stadium here, Kumble leading India in what is his second home series after the one against Pakistan, Kumble said he had no injury but his teammate master blaster Sachin Tendulkar had a groin strain which aggravated a bit and a bad stomach.
Kumble said he himself had a ''slight niggle'' which forced him to go off the field during the second innings today when South Africa were batting.
''The game was already dead and I thought I should rest myself a bit so that I can be in shape for the next Test. It's important I recover well before the second Test,'' Kumble added.
Asked about the new fast bowling sensation Ishant Sharma, who made waves on the tour to Australia, Kumble said Iishant was already part of the squad and was recovering from his injury.
''We will have a final look at him in a couple of days,'' Kumble added.
