Washington, Mar 30 : Natalie Portman has taken to the Internet for a little political promotion, and is urging people to exercise their voting rights.
The 26-year-old actress went on a 30-second public service announcement, encouraging people to go and cast their vote.
"Voting's how our democracy works," People quoted her as saying. Portman, who is on neutral grounds and not in any way affiliated with the presidential election, laid stress on the importance of participating in the democratic process.
"To vote is to express yourself," she stated.
Clubbed together with a new documentary Chicago 10, about protesters at the 1968 Democratic National Convention, Portman's message also directs viewers to Takepart, a forum that allows for the discussion of current political issues of concern.
