Coimbatore, Mar 30: CPI(M) Central Committee member Brinda Karat said her party would always raise its voice against the injustice meted out to women political leaders regardless of their political affiliations.

Speaking at a seminar on 'Pen Samathuvathai Nokki' (Women's Equality), organised as part of the 19th party congress here, Ms Karat said though, on a political point of view, the party stood different, it would fight tooth and nail to quash the injustice in any form. The party was continuously fighting for the 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and had launched a struggle to protect women's rights. Citing a survey report, Ms Karat said women were doing more domestic work than men. The rights of Dalit and Muslim women, who work hard, should be recognised, she added.
