Examine Muslim candidates' mindset: Togadia
Indore, Mar 30 (UNI) Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) General Secretary Praveen Bhai Togadia today stressed on ''examining Muslim candidates' mindset'' prior to granting admission in modern educational institutions.
Congratulating police for the recent arrest of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India's office-bearers here, he said, ''SIMI's Madhya Pradesh chief Safdar Nagori obtained an engineering degree and a journalism degree from Ujjain's Vikram University. The objective of his research, at the latter's place, was spreading terrorism.'' Mentioning that such activities will have to be checked within institutions, Mr Togadia added that the Muslim community would have to come forward and expose activities of organisations such as SIMI.
''Action is being taken against police officers who killed a terrorist such as Sohrabuddin. This is actually encouraging terrorists,'' he alleged.
The VHP leader warned that if the Centre went ahead with demolition of the Ram Sethu, then a ''fitting response'' will be given.
Mr Togadia quipped to mediapersons that he was ''confused'' by the statements -- in Bharatiya Janata Party leader L K Advani's autobiography 'My Country My Life' -- on the IC-814 hijacking, demolition of the disputed structure at Ayodhya and other issues.
