Jaipur, Mar 30 (UNI) Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today said her government has not made any move for preponement of assembly elections in the state.
However, her party is ready to face elections any time, Ms Raje told reporters during the informal chat after the closing ceremony of week-long Rajasthan Day celebration here this evening.
Replying to a question about the report in a section of media over the Election Commission's preparedness for holding assembly elections in August in the state, the Chief Minister said she has no idea about it but there was no move from the state government for preponement of the polls.
The commission can make slight changes in the schedule for the sake of administrative adjustments and arrangements but how much difference will it make, she remarked.
"Anyway, we are ready to face elections any time", she said.
The assembly elections in the state are due to be held by November later this year.
