Hamid Ansari arrives in Pink City

Jaipur, Mar 30: A warm welcome was accorded to Vice President Hamid Ansari who arrived here today on a two-day visit. Mr Ansari, accompanied by wife Salma Ansari, arrived by a special Indian Air Force plane from New Delhi.

Rajasthan Governor Shilendra Kumar Singh, his wife Manju Singh, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and her cabinet colleagues were present at the airport to receive the Vice President. Mr Ansari will participate in the concluding ceremony of the weeklong Rajasthan Day celebrations at the Janpath this evening.

He will have night halt at the Raj Bhawan tonight and fly back to Delhi tomorrow morning.

This is Mr Ansari's first visit to Rajasthan after becoming Vice President in August last year.
