Patna, Mar 30 (UNI) The Bihar government, in a major administrative reshuffle, has transfered 31 IPS officers, including 21 district Superintendents of Police, last night.
According to a notification, Senior Police Superintendent of Patna Kundan Krishnan had been replaced by Nalanda SP Amit Kumar.
Mr Krishnan had been shifted to Bhagalpur while Bhagalpur SP J S Gangwar had been transferred to Rohtas.
Besides, SPs of Bhojpur, Jehanabad, Gaya, Siwan, Gopalganj, Wset Champaran, East Champaran, Muzaffarpur, Carbhanga, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Purnia, Kishanganj, Araria, Banka, Buxar and Khagaria had also been transferred.
Purnia SP Sudhanshu Kumar had been shifted to Muzaffarpur and the high profile SP of Muzaffarpur Ratna Sanjay had gone for central deputation in the CBI.
Three IPS officers A R Ambedkar, B Srinivasan and K K Verma had been promoted to the DIG rank. Mr Ambedkar had been made DIG Shahabad range, Mr Srinivasan had been promoted to the DIG rank in the Vigilance department while Mr Verma had been made DIG personnel.
As per the notification Gupteshwar Pandey DIG crime record bureau had been shifted to the special branch (Security) in the same capacity.
Earlier, the government had reshuffled as many as 62 IAS officers.
