Durgapur, Mar 29: The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Committee (WBJEE) has changed the entire infrastructure of the exam system this year to maintain transparency in the admission tests.
Announcing this at a workshop here today, WBJEE chairman Sidhartha Dutta said to conduct the examination systematically in all 193 centres in the state, the board has introduced four control rooms at Durgapurm, Midnapore, Siliguri and its headquarter at Salt-lake Kolkata. The heads of these control rooms will sort out any problem arising at the centres by taking immediate and necessary action.
Mr Dutta also said that there will be a board representative at every centre along with a roaming observer, who are being trained for the purpose at today's workshop.
Altogether, 76,500 students are appearing the joint entrance for engineering and medical this year, Mr Dutta informed adding that the students, who have not received their admit cards should immediately contact the board.
