"There is a need for a stable government in Karnataka":Rahul Gandhi

Bangalore, Mar 29(UNI) AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today stressed the need for a stable government with a vision and capability to implement the schemes of UPA government.

Addressing a mammoth public rally before winding up his five-day Road Show in Karnataka, he said that "UPA government has introduced several schemes to uplift the poor oppressed class and farmers and there is a need for stable government to implement these programmes effectively".

The Congress leader called upon the youth of the state, particularly belonging to SC/ST to join politics and Congress party to take the state forward.

Sharing his experiences for the past five days of the State tour, Mr Gandhi commented that some part of the State were doing well, while some lagging behind in progress with no Schools and no roads.

Mr Gandhi thanked people of Karnataka for showing the way forward. The people who come from abroad always ask him about progress made in Karnataka and its contribution in nation building, he added.

Former Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna, who relinquished Governor post to return to the State politics, said that Mr Gandhi's visit has created a new wave among the youth of the State. "It would help in reviving the party." UNI SIV MSP RKN1457
