Smart showers change Kolkata weather
Kolkata, Mar 29 (UNI) A smart shower along with strong gusty winds this evening brought the much needed relief that Kolkatans desperately wanted.
With both the maximum and minimum temperatures increasing and humidity level remaining low, Met office predicted a dry weather in the Gangetic West Bengal.
However, a sudden depression in the region brought rainfall in the six districts of South Bengal including Budwan, Bankura and Purulia.
The maximum temperature in the city was recorded by the Alipore Met office at 37.3 degrees Celsius, three degrees above normal, while the minimum was recorded at 25.3 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
The maximum relative humidity was recorded at 89 per cent.
The Met officials predicted the maximum temperature to remain at 37 degrees Celsius, while the minimum would remain at 25 degrees Celsius.
