Six dead, 15 injured in building collapse
New Delhi, Mar 29 (UNI) Six persons were killed and 15 injured when an under construction building in East Delhi collapsed this morning, fire brigade officials said.
At about 0730 hours, an under construction four-storeyed building in the Seelampur area of East Delhi collapsed, burying several labourers under its debris, the fire officials said.
About eight to ten fire service engines were rushed to rescue those trapped under the debris.
Of the 21 labourers extricated, six died while 15 were injured.
The injured had been admitted to nearby hospitals, fire officials said.
The officials said the rescue work was still on.
They said the toll was likely to go up as several other labourers were still trapped under the debris.
