Recorded rainfall at many places in Karnataka

Bangalore, Mar 29: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Jayapura, Srirangapatna 7 each. Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Pandavapura, K.R.Sagara 6 each T Narsipura 5, Balehonnur, Chamarajnagara, Bangalore Airport, Hoskote, Kudligi4 each, Lokapur, Sargur, K R Nagara 3 each. Huliyurdurga, Kunigal (both Tumkur dt), Mysore, Madikeri 2 each.

Maximum temperatures rose at many a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at most places over Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka.

Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35.5 Degree Celsius over the State.

Minimum temperatures fell at most places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Chamarajnagara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.2 Degree Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Possibility of rain/thundershowers towards evening/night. Maximum and Minimum temperature likely to be around 30 and 19 Degree Celsius respectively.
