Rahul stresses for stable government in K'taka
Bangalore, Mar 29 (UNI) AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi today stressed the need for a stable government with a vision and capability to implement the schemes of the UPA Government.
Addressing a public meeting before winding up his five-day roadshow in Karnataka, he said ''the UPA government has introduced several schemes to uplift the poor and farmers and there is a need for stable government to implement these programmes effectively.'' He called upon the youth of the state, particularly belonging to SC/ST, to join politics.
Mr Gandhi said while some parts of the state were doing well other regions lagged behind with no schools and roads.
Former Maharashtra Governor S M Krishna, who relinquished Maharastra Governor post to return to the state politics, said Mr Gandhi's visit had created a new wave among the youth and it would help in reviving the party in the state.
