Neera Yadav seeks for VRS
Lucknow, Mar 29 (UNI) After her unceremonious removal from the post of chairperson of UP IAS Association, senior most IAS officer of the state, Neera Yadav today sought for voluntary retirement from the services with immediate effect.
The state government had accepted the VRS, confirmed a senior government official here.
Ms Yadav, a 1971 batch IAS officer, was to retire on June 30 next, but she decided to go for VRS, nine days after she was removed from the UP IAS Association post.
Talking to UNI, Ms Yadav, presently posted as Chairpersons State Vigilence Commission said she had sought Voluntary Retirement Scheme (VRS) due to personal reasons.
Meanwhile, sources in the government said Ms Yadav sent her VRS addressed to Chief Minister Mayawati and it was accepted.
Ms Yadav against whom CBI is probing in Noida land scam case was removed from the post on March 20.
