New Delhi, Mar 29 : Leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Saturday discussed the poll strategy ahead of the general elections and Assembly elections in several states.

The meeting convened at the residence of senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani was attended by NDA Chief Ministers Parkash Singh Badal (Punjab), Naveen Patnaik (Orissa), Narendra Modi (Gujarat), Raman Singh (Chhattisgarh), B C Khanduri (Uttarakhand), Shivraj Singh Chauhan (Madhya Pradesh) and Prem Kumar Dhumal (Himachal Pradesh).

"First there will be huge rallies in the NDA governed states followed by more in other states. The BJP had already decided on the rallies to be organised in NDA ruled states and after that we might also plan a big rally in New Delhi," Sushma Swaraj, a senior BJP leader told reporters.

"The two main issues that we will take up in the NDA ruled states and other central states is to mobilize farmers who have not been able to get loan benefits and we will also take up the price rise issue," she added.

The BJP and other NDA constituents dubbed the 600 billion rupees loan waiver package of the UPA Government as a political gimmick to seek mileage out of it.
