Nashik, Mar 29 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state unit general secretary Vinod Tawde today claimed that even the Congress and NCP legislators are not happy with the Democratic Front government in the state.
This was evidenced during the recent Legislative Council elections where Congress and NCP MLAs voted against their own parties, Mr Tawde claimed while addressing a press conference here today.
Mr Tawde was here in the city after his re-election to the Maharashtra Legislative Council.
Regarding the State Election Commissioner Nandlal's arrest, Mr Tawde said, ''people are busy settling personal scores instead of finding solutions to the common man's problems''.
''It shows how much the government cares for the Constitution,'' Mr Tawde commented.
He further said general elections are likely to be held in November and the BJP had launched preparations for the same.
The BJP, he said, will hold a mega convention in Dindori, the newly-created Lok Sabha constituency in the district, on May 11.
