Bhopal, Mar 28 (UNI) Wages of part-time clerks, peons and sanitary workers in government schools in Madhya Pradesh have been raised with effect from April 1 this year.
Accordingly, wages of clerks has been raised to Rs 1500 per month, Rs 1200 to peons and Rs 500 to sanitary workers.
A decision in this has been taken by the state cabinet presided over by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan at its meeting here yesterday.
The cabinet also relaxed the qualifying service period of the Superintending Engineers of the Water Resources department from five to two years for promotion as Chief Engineer on completion of 30 years of service, official sources said.
The cabinet also approved the new structure of Forest department with total sanctioned strength of 13,997 posts of forest guards, 4184 posts of Foresters, 1257 posts of Deputy Rangers, 1192 posts of Rangers, 358 posts of Assistant Conservator of Forests, 2829 posts of clerks, 731 other non-gazetted posts and 24 gazetted posts.
