Opium seized, three arrested
Nawada, Mar 28 (UNI) Three persons were arrested and opium plants, cultivated over three acres, seized at Jamundaha village under Rajauli police station in the district.
District Police Superintendent Vinod Kumar Kushwaha here said acting on a tip-off, police raided the village and nabbed the three involved in illegal cultivation and trade of the contraband narcotics.
'' Preliminary investigation suggests that the racket was being managed by people owing allegiance to naxal organisations,'' he said adding the arrest were being interrogated.
