Srinagar, Mar 28 (UNI) About three lakh people today offered prayers at Hazratbal shrine, housing the holy relic of Prophet Muhammad, on the friday of following Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi.
The devotees, who had come from all parts of the valley besides Jammu and other parts of the northern states, had glimpse of holy relic after morning and Friday prayers.
About one lakh people joined night-long prayers on the occasion of following Friday of Milad-un-Nabi.
More than two lakh people today joined the Friday prayers.
The authorities had made adequate transport and other arrangments for the devotees.
An official of the shrine management said more than 30 lakh people visited the shrine during the fortnight long urs this year.
