Chandigarh, Mar 28 (UNI) Haryana Government's Departments, Boards and Corporations no more need to refer the cases of purchase of new staff vehicles to the Chief Secretary (RVA Branch).
While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that they might take decision regarding sanction and purchase of new vehicles at their own level after obtaining the approval of Chief Minister and concurrence of Finance Department.
However, it would be subject to the entitlement and keeping in view the policy guidelines or instructions issued by the Chief Secretary and Finance Department from time to time, he added.
In case of replacement of the vehicle, the instructions issued by Finance Department would continue to be followed. The Chief Secretary (RVA Branch) would, however, prescribe policy including norms, entitlement, type of vehicles for various categories of officers in case of staff cars or vehicles.
The State Government has already wounded up its State Motor Vehicle Board.
