DMK attempting to destroy MDMK, alleges Vaiko
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 28 (UNI) Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) General Secretary Vaiko today alleged that the ruling DMK was making attempts to destroy his party but they would go in vain.
Addressing the party's state legal wing cadre here, Mr Vaiko alleged that DMK President M Karunanidhi was cheating the people through publicity gimmicks.
He said his party would continue its fight for the welfare of the suppressed people.
The meeting also decided to organise a state-level conference of the party legal wing in September.
The meeting passed a resolution demanding the state government to incorporate legal studies in school curriculum.
It also requested the government to fill up vacancies of judicial officers in Madras High Court and other lower courts and make Tamil the official language in Madras High Court and its Bench in Madurai.
