New Delhi, Mar 28 (UNI) India's Arvind Bhat posted a convincing victory over Juergen Koch of Austria to enter the second round of the 32nd Yonex Polish International badminton championships being played at Warsaw, Poland today.
According to the tournament's official website, seventh seed Arvind defeated his Austrian counterpart 21-18, 21-17 in straight sets.
Arvind will now take on Ukraine's Vladislav Druzchenko in the second round.
In the women's section, the Indian double's pair of Jwala Gutta and Shruti Kurian, seeded fourth, moved in to the second round after they got a bye in the first round.
