Yelahanka records 11 cm rain on Thursday

Bangalore, Mar 27: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 0830hrs today. Rainfall occurred at a few places over the State. Heavy rainfall amounts (cm): Yelahanka 11 Alland 7.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Mulabagal, Bangalore Airport 6 each, Malur, Bangarpet, Nelamanagala 4 each, Kalghatgi 3, Afzalpur, Kakkeri, Kunigal, Kolar, Bangalore City 2 each, Yellapura, Sulepet, Maski, Napoklu, Jayapura, Hessarghatta 1 each.

Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and changed little over North Interior Karnataka. They were markedly below normal at most places over Interior Karnataka and appreciably below normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka.

Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 34 Degree Celsius over the State. Minimum temperatures fell at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Chamarajnagara recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 19.3 Degree Celsius over the State. Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka, North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum and Minimum temperature likely to be around 30 and 20 Degree Celsius respectivelyh.
