Srinagar, Mar 27 (UNI) Asking security forces to remain alert to foil any militant plan to cause disturbances in the state, Jammu and Kashmir Police Chief Kuldeep Khoda stressed the need for greater synergy among different security agencies for better results.
However, Mr Khoda expressed satisfaction over the results achieved by state police and other security force agencies in the recent past.
Reviewing the law and order situation with senior police and CRPF officers, he stressed the need for close and greater coordination among the different security agencies for achieving better results.
He said the prior task before the security agencies was to ensure safety of lives and properties of citizens.
Mr Khoda declared that security agencies would be provided all logistic and other support to deal with the situation on the ground.
Lauding the role of police and other security forces in their fight against militancy, he reminded the sacrifices offered by the officers and jawans for unity and integrity of the country.
However, he exhorted officers and other ranks to remain alive to the welfare needs of the families members of those who laid down their lives during all these years.
Mr Khoda also expressed satisfaction over the performance of state police in improving the security scenario and appreciated the jawans and officers who took part in various anti militancy operations in the Valley in the recent past.
He emphasised on professional policing and rapport with public in bringing peace. He said while dealing with militants, all ranks should ensure that general public did not suffer.
