Kanpur, Mar 27: AICC National treasurer Moti Lal Vohra asserted the role of national parties and said regional parties will have no impact in future and only UPA and NDA will decide the country's future.
Mr Vora, who arrived here last night to take stock of arrangements in the party's two-day convention, said the regional parties have damaged the development of Uttar Pradesh. Making a scathing attack on ruling BSP party in the state, he said ''deteriorating law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh is the matter of great concern and should be tackled with priority.'' ''Both the Union Government and the Congress were worried about the sky-rocketing prices of essential commodities and were thinking of measures to control it,''Mr Vohra said.
Apprising about the upcoming convention, the Congress leader said both National and International level issues would be discussed during the two day convention scheduled to being were on March 30.
The convention will give new direction to the nation, he claimed.
