Srinagar Mar 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have resolved the fly-over blast case in which one person was killed and 16 others wounded on March 19, with the arrest of three Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants, a senior police officer said.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Srinagar, said out of four militants, responsible for carrying out the blast three, were arrested.
Giving details at a press conference here this afternoon, SSP Ahfadul Mujtaba said due to tight vigil, militants had failed to carry out any attack in the city for the past several months.
Two HM commanders Tanveer Ahmad Zargar alias Tanna Khan and Muzaffar Dar alias Ali Muhammad had given the task to detonate an explosive device to four other militants.
The SSP said four militants identified as Jehangir Ahmad Khan alias Imran alias King, Sameer Ahmad Mir, Sajjad Ahmad Lone and Imtiyaz Ahmad alias Anna Khan planned and carried out the blast.
Out of these militants, Jehangir, Sameer and Sajad Ahmad Lone wer arrested while a massive hunt has been launched to arrest Imtiyaz.
