Darth Vader tops '50 Most Vile Movie Villains' poll
Washington, Mar 27 : 'Star Wars' baddie Darth Vader has topped a new online poll of the '50 Most Vile Movie Villains'.
The poll, by Entertainment Weekly, saw the Jedi formally known as Anakin Skywalker coming out on top of the heap.
The website for the mag called Vader the 'quintessential villain', saying: "He's got commanding height, an intimidating voice (thanks to the vocal stylings of James Earl Jones), wicked lightsaber skills, a badass all-black getup, and domination over galaxies far, far away."
Second on the list was Leatherface from The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974), followed by Phillip Vandamm in 1959's North By Northwest in third place.
The top five was rounded off by the character Hedy Carlson in Single White Female (1992) and Annie Wilkes in Misery (1990), coming in fourth and fifth respectively.
