BMS, NGEU reject 6th pay commission report
New Delhi, Mar 27 (UNI) Disappointed with the recommendations of the 6th pay commission, the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh and the Non-Gazatted Employees' Union today said the suggestions are anti-employees.
''The non gazatted employees not only resent the treatment meted out to them but also the fact that the existing allowances have been reduced. The merger of CCA with Transport Allowance has burdened the employees,'' NGEU general secretary Dalip Singh said.
He urged the employees to reject the recommendations, saying they are not in favour of middle and low grade employees.
All India President of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh Girish Awasthi gave a call for a protest rally on April 1.
''The Commission report has cheated Central Government employees...for Grade C and D employees are only getting 10 to 20 per cent hike compared to about 40 to 54 per cent increase for Grade A and B employees,'' he said.
